I feel like I'm tired everyday! Whether or not if I go to bed early or not! On the weekend I sleep around 9-10 hours to catch up (I don't have kids) and if I don't get this I am so tired all week. So, how tired are you?
It's been PARCC testing week and I'm fighting bad seasonal allergies (no voice!). So yeah. I'm that kind of tired.
I hate when I lose my voice as a teacher! It's so frustrating and you HAVE to use your voice, so it ends up just getting worse until the weekend! Hang in there!
I'm extremely tired. 10 days left, 19 weeks pregnant with 2 little boys already at home. I'm exhausted every afternoon and ready for bed when I put my kids down.
Just... worn out. I don't start (or end) the day with the energy I had at the start of the year. I've been trying to go to bed earlier. It's hard.
It has been a tough year. There are days that I come home and really don't get out of the chair in my living room. Looking forward to summer!
I think we're all feeling it--no matter which school or district we're in. Ive been known to be in bed at 8pm on Friday evening--that's how tired I am by the end of the week.
Lately, I've been in bed and asleep before 9 every night. However, that means I'm up by 4am! Vicious cycle that I hope to fix in a few days when school is out.
At this point in the year, we are like ultra-marathon runners, just slogging through the last miles...At the same time, I have had a pretty great year, and am already feeling anxious about starting over again next year. I make myself tired by getting ahead of myself and getting anxious!
You can start with multi-vitamins or soy-milk which has essential nutrients in it. I would prefer the milk though... you can start feeling the effect in 4-5 days! Oh yes and ofcourse, basic stretching in the morning is very helpful! Get the engines running!
I can't even gauge how tired I am right now. Finished school year, then did 7 days of PD. Prepping one house to sell. Building addition to another house. Combining two long-established households into one. Today is my wedding day. I was up before dawn. I've already washed three loads of clothes, cleaned house, gone to bank, dropped dogs off at kennel, called caterer, picked up cake, and had lunch. Now I need to shower and squeeze in a nap before tonight. Wedding is at 7:30 tonight, and we have to leave for the airport at 2:30am. I may sleep on the beach all next week.
Well finals JUST started today so pretty tired and I have tons of tests to grade. But the light is at the end of the tunnel!
Congratulations! In a sense, it'll be nice that everything is happening one right after another, because it means you'll have more downtime on the back end of the break! I was just completely and utterly exhausted by Wednesday, more-so than I'd usually even feel on a Friday, and then of course, after the half-day, we spent the rest of the day helping everyone in the building to move if they were moving classrooms. Slept in until 9:30 on Thursday, which is rare considering I usually can't sleep past 7:30/8 on weekends, and definitely still very sore and exhausted today (still did about 8 hours of work yesterday, between PD and finishing cleaning), but exhilarated at the time now to get ready for next year.
I'm starting to get some energy back. Our last day for kids was the 9th, and our last day as teachers was the 15th. It always takes me a while to get adjusted from work mode to summer mode. Usually about the time I've got it down...it's time to head back to school. I'm just enjoying having time to think. During the school year, I'm so exhausted every day that my brain shuts down the moment I get home and I'm good for nothing except whatever it takes to keep me alive. Summer is when I do all my thinking so that I can go on auto-pilot when fall rolls around again.
The first couple of days are always an adjustment for me. I also have a computer job I do from home so I gave myself a few days to just relax in front of the tv or out on my deck with my laptop, and not do anything but it is hard to just shake off the school year..i am sleeping a lot..its only been 3 days since we ended, hopefully I will have more energy tomorrow. And yes, by the time I get into my ''summer routine'' and get myself all good and relaxed, I will have to start summer school Ahh Yup
I am just starting to get it back. I usually love my evening walks but in May it was an absolute chore. I've been sleeping 10 hour nights and a 2 hour nap. Now my walks are becoming energetic again. Crazy how worn out we get.
Right now, I am fairly rested. I've been able to stay in bed as late as I want (usually 8:00 at the latest) and nap when I want. In a couple weeks I have to report back for meetings and all that resting will go out the window so I am soaking it up now.
