I'm a middle school teacher looking for some data regarding the ages that teachers began teaching. I'm going to use the data for my website. I don't want to post the article or else it will probably get blocked or flagged. If it's okay for me to post the article please let me know so. Appreciate this! THE QUESTION: How old were you when you started teaching?
Polls are just fine. That's why we have them! I was 33 when I started subbing and 36 when I got my first full-time position.
Another interesting question might be how long did you teach? Is there an association between how old you were when you started and how long you stuck to it? So many possibilities.
Thanks, I didn't want it to be considered "spamming". Im using the data for an article I published. Science teacher here so I want to add some real data to the article.
That would be interesting to see. Maybe the next poll. This data I need for an article I wrote about how young teachers are when they start teaching.
That's pretty much me too. I was 45 in 2011 when I started as a para. Went back to school f/t in 2012. Earned my license in 2014. Was sub 14-15 year. Got my own classroom in 2015-16 school year and have been in the same district since. BEST JOB EVER!
