I had a question. I was wondering, I have a 2nd interview on Thursday and the principal told me I would be interviewing with a group of teachers. How many teachers are there usually in a second interview panel? Just curious because I wanted to have enough materials for them.

I had a panal interview with 5 teachers and 1 principal. I was only interviewing for a sub position, but the whole process was a little nerve racking for me.

All of my interviews have been with a panel. Usually it is an average of 4 people but I have had as little as 2 and as many as 8!

Most of the interviews I've been on have at least 6 to 8 people on the committee. It was very intimidating at first, but I got so used it that when I had a second interview with just the Superintendent it felt strange to be sitting with one person!

In the recent interviews I have had there were anywhere from 5 to 11 people in the panel.

    Good luck!

    Congrats on the second interview!

I've been on a few panel interviews and they've ranged from 2 teachers and the principal to 8 teachers and the principal. You really never know. Sometimes it may just be the grade-level team and other times the principal asks for volunteers from other grade levels as well.

At our school, it's usually the principal, assistant principal, and 2-3 teachers.

The last interview I had, had 8 people. That was the largest I have had...it's also with a competetive district...all the others I have had have been 2-4
