I work at a small school (2 classes per grade level). I used to work on a team of 8. Just curious if there is a "norm."

I've always worked with 3 or 4 other teachers. This year I will have 6 teammates.

6 teachers and 1 aide on our team. Most of the grades have 6 teachers, sometimes a grade or 2 has 5.

I teach high school, but I am familiar with the elementary configurations in my district. Up until a few years ago, we had several small elementary schools. There were maybe one or two teachers per grade level at each school. Now, instead of having all "traditional" elementary schools, each one is either all K-2 or all 3-5. There are typically 4 teachers per grade level. The middle school is now 6-8 with 2 teachers per grade level.

We only have one teacher and one associate per grade. Last year my associate really wanted nothing to do with teaching :/ so it was pretty much all on me!

Small school too, just one class per grade level. I'm the only science teacher! Well there is one that teaches first and second grade, but I never see her ever.

I teach in a small district so I am the only SPED teacher on my campus. Normally there are 2 teachers per grade level and 2 teachers per subject at the MS/HS. The district I was in before this had about 4 teachers per grade level.

Four this year. It's really different for me because when I taught sped I was the only one. I considered my "team" to be the school psych, slp, and OT, but it's not quite the same as a gen ed team because obviously we all had different jobs. So far I really like having other people to go to if I have questions, especially as a new teacher, but they seem okay with letting people do their own things in their classrooms to, which is really nice. At my previous school, in gen ed the teachers would literally meet every day after school and make sure they had the exact same plans for the next day. That wouldn't work well for me.

    3

For a long time it was 2 per grade level, so even after several years, I still feel like a 3rd wheel a lot of the time!

There are 6 teachers on my 3rd grade team.

    2 Bilingual (Spanish) teachers
    2 Regular Education teachers
    1 Gifted and Talented teacher
1 English as a Second Language teacher

Last year there were only 2 teachers on my Kindergarten team.

I work at a school with 1,500 students. Last year we had 10 fifth grade teachers in addition to the Gifted and ESE pull out teachers. Our third grade had 13 teachers.

5 homeroom/content teachers plus me as special ed teacher. Each grade level has 5 homerooms and a special ed teacher, or a shared sped ed teacher.

I'm secondary, so we don't do teams.

But I'm one of 4 teachers teaching Geometry this year. I'm incredibly blessed to be in a department and a school where sharing and working together is the norm.

Four teachers... :) We had 5 last year and our enrollment went down. Of course, that could change tomorrow! We just started letting kids enroll for the new year, TODAY!
