We have six teachers on our team.

One teacher is technically drop-out prevention/extra assistance, but not ESE. The remaining five are regular ed., yet two are ESOL and two are inclusion. One is just regular ed. across the board. I am one of the inclusion teachers and teach extra assistance math as well as advanced reading.

We are going to have TEN!

Last year we had seven, but due to rezoning of the district, our school has grown. Four of us were there last year...6 new people!

What is humorous about our team is that three of the six teachers on the team are in their fourth year of fourth grade and have the most experience in fourth grade at our school. I am one of them, but the teacher who has the most experience had over 10 years of experience at another school and has many years of experience in the schools as a teacher's assistant. The other two... one is completely new to our school, but is in her third year of teaching, and the other came from fifth grade.

We have 5. Three of them were new to the school (but not 4th grade) last year. I am the only newbie on the team this year. I taught 5th last year.

We have three teachers including me. This year, I will have the inclusion class; there's only one special education teacher for the whole school.

We have 3. The other 2 will both be first year teachers this year. After 2 years of inclusion and 1 year of gifted, I will have the "middle of the road" class this year--it should be interesting!

    We have two.

We try to split up the kids based on a variety of factors, but I always have the inclusion and ESL students.

We have 4. I am thankful that we are starting out the year with 4, because last year we started out with 3, then had to add a teacher in December. It was hectic.

I am supposed to have ESL students this year...the lead ESL teacher approached me about it at the end of the school year. They are hoping to have 2 classes with ESL students...that way there are not too many in any one room. I have always had the inclusion class, so I am wondering who will get that. I won't be happy if I get both special ed. and ESL....especially since I will be going on maternity leave in December.

Yep, I get them all. One good thing is by the time they get to high school, I'll know every student by name (except the new transfers). Our school is K-12, so I'll see "my" kids until they graduate. I have lots of wall space to separate those kids that need to be, however, we are a small ranching community, so the kids as a whole are really great kids!

We have 7 fourth grade teachers on our team. One teacher is G&Tand the rest of us are regular ed. I personally feel like our school needs to rework the spec. ed. program. All 6 of us will have spec. ed. students. That goes for the 3rd grade teachers and the
5th grade teachers too. We are supposed to be "inclusion" but the students receive no support in the classroom. They are pulled out to work on--who knows what? We only have 2 spec. ed. teachers for 3 grades and 16 different teachers.
I need to get off my spec. ed. soap box now--I could go on forever. Sorry. I just don't feel these kiddos are getting their needs met.

Just two of us at my school! We have a collapse-able wall that we can take down if we want to team teach. We've opened things up in the past for art and drama activities.

We have 3 counting me. This is my first year, as well as one of the other teachers. The third teacher has been teaching for 30+ years. We switch for math (leveled by ability), language arts, science, and social studies. I'll have "high" math and language arts. My class has 3-4 special needs students, the veteran teacher has 3-4 special needs students as well. The other new teacher has mostly "high" students as well as 2 G/T students.

We have 4 including me. One is set to retire at the end of this year. Another wants out of the classroom (but still in education on the business level) and the 3rd one is new to our state. I'm in my 8th year of teaching...4th at this school.

We are all at 32 or 33 kids so we're hoping for a 5th section to open up so we'll all be at 26 or so. The only thing is, our district won't even consider it until after several weeks have gone by. I think last year (we were in this same situation) it took us til Oct. before we got one. I don't like this formula....the district thinks we have less kids than we really have. Lovely.

I like how all the fourth grade teachers have the Gifted students, though when we switch, I get them for the advanced reading block. :)

I'm feeling lucky right now. In GA the most you can have in a 4th grade classroom is 26.

I am very excited this year I will be at a school with 5 other 4th grade teachers, and I will have a mentor teacher! 2 years ago I started teaching as a long term sub in a 4th grade classroom in a school with only 1 class per grade. I was left to sink or swim on my own. I am so happy to be changing to a larger district and have other teachers to share ideas and support with!

We have 12 teachers (edited because I thought there was 11). We are a 3-5 grade school and the only one in the city. That's why we have 12 fourth grade classes.

My school has almost 1300 students in it. This year we will have almost the same number of students outside the building as inside the building. The scary thing is that my school does not have a plan to relieve the overcrowding. They are not planning any new schools for the overflow to go to in the future. Last year we gained about 100 students.
