I just got a copy of my fall classroom roster and I have 22 in the fourth grade....10 boys and 12 girls.
That's enough for me!! I know some of you have large numbers. Want to share how many students you'll have and how you feel about it?

I have not seen my roster, but I know that my class will probably be capped off at 18.

I haven't seen a class list yet, but my class is supposed to max out at 25. From what I have heard, I will have 25 kindergarteners :eek:hmy:. I will possibly have an assistant for the first couple weeks of school only. I'll be busy!

Loves2Teach, does your school have any open positions?:D

I am lucky because my school believes in keeping the inclusion classes small. This year I had 24-25 in regular ed.

We do have a position open though  If you are interested ;)

We wont know until the day or so before school starts, but last year my biggest class was 14. I teach at a tiny alternative school.

When I taught at a traditional high school, I would have 6 classes of 27-30 students.

My homeroom has 26 sixth grade students now, so I'm going to say 30 by the end of the year. I had a couple of lower classes last year (21-22) and I can't believe how much more productive we all were. All teachers in Kentucky got a nice raise this year, but I honest to goodness would have taken lower class sizes over money!

LOL...yes, I can definitely say it will probably be a rough year. The highest number I have ever worked with was 23 fourth graders. Before that, my largest class was 17 third graders! 25 kindergarteners could put me over the edge unless I train them like little soldiers! :)

I won't have actual numbers until registration, but last year I had 4 classes-26,27,27-all honors, and my reg ed class had 20.

Funny story:lol: ...Last year I had my students turn in a book project that contained 4 parts....400 book projects to grade at one time:eek:

I WILL NOT make that mistake again!:woot:

28-35 in each class. I will be teaching two groups of kids. I haven't gotten my official roster yet. In fact, my principal was working on putting it into the computer today. Thankfully though, I will have at most 70 kids total.

I always think our schools seem pretty similar. How does it go with one girl? I will have 5 girls, 8 boys and am worried about the girls already!

I have 32 computers in my lab. I take the kindergarten classes 1/2 at a time - ~15 children. K-2 are scheduled foe 30 minutes per week and all othe classes are for 45 minutes weekly. I also teach a subject for 5 class periods in a 2nd grade classroom. My schedule is lighter than other teachers but I am also responsible for overseeing the computer based report card program for the school. That involves lots of data input at the start of the year and plenty of headaches the rest of the year.

My district (and many others) caps K-2 at 20 students. I'm Kinder, so I get 20! And that is plenty when you consider tying shoes...

As of now I have 20 - 14 boys and 6 girls. Those numbers will probably change when we get our summer school results from those who had to retest on the high states state test (LEAP). We each could add 1 or 2 more.
