Just curious when everyone's last day is. Mine is June 2nd--17 days left.
Kids' last day is May 30th !!!!! Teachers have 2 mandatory days the following week. But, since we have so many special days coming up the rest of this month - it's practically over already.
25 working days left! June 14 Broward County Florida
14 1/2 kid days... 16 teacher days
12 days with kids, 14 working days. Swimming all next week, which leaves 7 "normal instructional" days.
Kid's last day is May 22nd. Mine is the 23rd! WOOHOO!

I envy all you "early birds"...we, like the other fellow "Canuck" from Newfoundland, are in school until June 20...Not too many more weeks to go. Yippeeee!! I will be working in a summer camp, with an academic focus, over the summer...I'm looking forward to the challenge (and the extra cash !!!)
Sherri in British Columbia
I don't know if I could handle an academic type camp after teaching all year so more power to you. i have a sister who run the summer publishing workshops at Simon Fraser that I'll be visiting for two weeks in July so I'll get to sample some of that B.C. summer weather. I have a 10 and 13 year-old, got any ideas for 'not to be missed' places to visit?
Will you be heading into the city (Vancouver) or staying in the Burnaby area (where Simon Fraser is located). Hmmm, a 10 and 13 year old - probably Science World, my neice and nephew love it and it's educational too! All kinds of scientific kiosks and hands-on things to do and keep them busy...and I think you can get a good rate if they have a student card. The IMAX theatre in downtown Vancouver is a great place...they usually have a National Geographic presentation or a feature film that kids enjoy! Stanley Park is nice, but unfortunately many of the animals (caged, that is ) are slowly being phased out of the Park...not much is left there...but the view and the seawall walk is amazing!! I'm stumped, can't think of anything else at the moment...maybe PM me if you need some more ideas. I hope this helped and I'm crossing my fingers for great weather while you are in "Beautiful British Columbia".

15 days to go! 3 of those of 1/2 days!! We're having Kindergarten graduation on the last full day & I'm hoping the kids don't come back the final to 1/2 days!! June 20th is our last day with kids. 190 days with them is too long!
I finished up yesterday(5/30/03). YIPEE! I am changing grade levels and rooms, so I'll be busy throughout the summer moving and getting ready for 2nd grade. Have a great summer.
