I'm thinking of getting bangs, but I can't remember at all how long they took me to grow them back out the last time I had them. Any ideas?

It probably depends. Everyone is different. If you take prenatal vitamins, they will grow out faster.

Definitely depends. Hair grows at different rates, and it also depends how long it'll have to be until you consider it "grown out." Average growth is about a half inch per month. That sounds right to me.

I think in about 6 months you can pull it into a ponytail, but it depends on how short it is to start with.

What kind of bangs are we talking? I cut my hair into short, blunt-ish front bangs (about eyebrow-length) about four months ago and they reach the bottom of my lips if I pull them straight now. Nowhere near a ponytail, but I can put them behind my ears. I would say my hair grows pretty fast, slightly faster than the average I mentioned.

Mine took a few months before they were long enough to blend in/just look like another layer.

It took mine 6 months to grow out. The worst was the awkward stage when they were too long to be "bangs", but still didn't blend in my hair. :(

Mine grew in super fast. I actually let them grow in just because I needed to get them trimmed every three weeks or they'd be hanging in my eyes, and I got tired of the upkeep.

Cute barrettes will be your best friend while they're growing back in.

Okay--I was kind of figuring about 6 months for them to blend in...

I'm getting married next summer, so I wasn't sure if I wanted to try them or not. I think I will, though.

My hair grows pretty quickly. I got blunt bangs cut around December of last year and by my wedding in January I had very cute long-ish "side swept" bangs.

Mine are in the side swept stage right now. I usually end up with bangs, but try letting them grow every once in a while. My 7 year old daughter, who has long hair, is wanting bangs. Her hair is all one length to the middle of her back. I really don't want to cut them! Growing out will be a pain.
