    Hey everyone,
I need to place my philosophy of education in my portfolio. I am an early childhood major and I really believe that " the child will find out about himself if the environment in which he lives helps him to do so"- Krishnamurti.
However, I am have so many ideas. Does the philosophy need to be bulleted or in pages?
Help me I am having so many concerns with my portfolio:help:

Ok great and are administrators looking for anything specific (theorists or just your personal beliefs?)

I'm not too sure about that one. I dropped a few things in mine:
Harry Wong, Bloom's Taxonomy, Discovery-based learning, hands-on learning.

My philosophy is 2/3 page single space. I didn't use any BUZZ words in my philosophy, because they are always changing. I wanted try and have my philosophy be relatively timeless. But, my philosophy incorporates many of the current ideals, every child can learn, diverse learning needs, etc.

I don't think there is a right format nor anything particular that admins. are wanting to see in a philosophy. I think they want to see that your teaching style is current and matches their mission.

Mine is one page, 1.5 spaced. People who are interviewing you are not going to want to read 2-3 pages long... actually they're more likely to just TALK to you about it then want to read it.

Cut it down--- only put the real "meat" of your teaching philosophy. If buzz words or theories truly fit your philosophy add them--- but be expected to explain yourself if you do (aka know what you're actually talking about).

Mine is one page, 1.5 spaced. I have a few buzz words in there: diverse needs, cooperative learning.

I agree that administrators will probably not want to sit down to read more than a page.
