I live two towns away from where I grew up. About a fifteen minute drive. I also teach where I grew up, so the commute is super nice. :)

During college, I lived about two and half hours away.

17 miles for me. I live 5 miles from where my mother grew up, and 300 yards from where my husband grew up. My husband asked my father permission to marry me about 1/2 mile from where my father asked my grandfather permission to marry my mom. I could not ever imagine living in a different place - our roots run deep here. My kids are the 5th generation on both sides to live where we do.

I'm about a couple of blocks. The farthest I've been away is 1 1/2 hrs or so.

5 minutes away in the same town. I hated HS and thought I would want to move away, but hey, history is history at this point.

For the last five years, I've lived in central Ohio, which is eight hours / 475 miles away from suburban Philly. At first, there was a little bit of guilt-tripping from my parents that I should try to convince Rockhubby to move back east with me. It's a good thing I didn't because they've bought a house in Florida and only live in the Philly area four months a year.

Right now I live about 4 steps away from where I grew up. I live in the bedroom across the hall from the one I grew up in. I used to live about 200 miles away, but moved home to go back to school for my M.S. at one point. Sometime next month, I will live something like 7,000 miles away- I'm not really sure and Google maps doesn't work across the ocean. It is about a 14 hour plane ride.

About 25 minutes. I grew up in a suburb and now live in the city. I wouldn't want to go back and live there now. I'm close enough to visit when I want to.

Since I was a military kid, I didn't grow up on one place. I grew up in 8 different bases; 6 different states and 2 different countries :) But my family retired in my mom's hometown which is about 1000 miles away from where I live now.
