I saw this on Viralnova.com and had to share.

I don't know if any of you would do such creative resumes but I love the idea.

Have any of you handed in a very unique resume?

GOOD LUCK to all you job seekers!!

My resume is sort of similar to this, but blue. I print it on grey resume paper. Not as unique as the link, but definitely not traditional. [IMG]

Mine isn't really traditional, but it's also readable. A while back someone posted a link with "creative" resumes and I honestly think they're awful. I'm so ADD I'd never be able to focus long enough to read those resumes with pictures and lines and all sorts of things going on. I think it's nice to do a resume in columns with a touch of color. But beyond that is not for the teaching world. Graphic design and artsy jobs, maybe. Teaching- no.

What did the principal say about your resume? I have never seen anything like it!

That isn't my resume but it inspired mine. No circle and my name is only one line.

Anyway, it is often a topic of conversation and I've never received negative feedback. I ran it by my old P before doing it.

I also used that Loft resume as inspiration for my resume, also in blue. Worked well for me.

I had a creative resume when searching for graphic design jobs. I was a graphic design major. It was all orange and grey and white and pretty! I had that resume and a regular resume looking for other jobs (I needed a better job, period). Now that I was looking for a teacher job, I just used a regular standard resume. I can't believe creative resumes got teachers jobs! Why didn't I think of that before, who knows if I could've gotten a job last year and not deal with another year of subbing!!!

Oh well, what's done is done. I got a job with a boring paper black and white resume lol

However, I will use a creative resume when starting up my invitation business!
