I try and do addresses, parents names, phone numbers, birthdays at the beginning of the day during calendar. We do attendance by showing names and then I ask them one of the questions depending on the students level.

I try to sing it. When I taught the lil ones I would do a number that the parent can be reached at. Cell phone was used so I taught using the 1 area code & then number.

-Cut out poster board phone shapes...
-Write each child's name on one with their phone number...
-Write their addresses on the other side...
-Laminate them so they will last...
-Bring them out during CT and go through them...
-Let them carry them around during the day and ask them every chance you pass by one of them about the numbers. In fact you can make them like necklaces to hang around their necks. IF it is safe.
-You can even velcro them to their cubby holes...
Make it fun & they will learn and retain it better!

I photocopy a picture I have of a phone, (one for each kid) and there is a place to write the number (just like the place on your real phone). then i use a yellow highlighter to highlight the numbers on the key pad. we pracitce "dialing" the numbers in the correct order. I also do another set with 911 and we role play calling 911 and answering ? that a 911 operator might ask
