    Hi,

I am trying to "refresh" things in my room & change things up a bit. I want to make a new bb in my classroom, but have no idea what to put on it. What do some of you have in your upper grade classroom?

    I already have
-word wall (3 actually, math, higher vocabulary & writing)
    -writing
    -reading
    -science/s.s
    -standards & vocabulary
    -student work
    -homeworkopoly
    -birthday/calendar/schedule
    -student of the week
    -centers & another for groups
    and one about the election.

Was thinking about maybe doing current events, or perhaps a higher order thinking one (like with questioning strategies). Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks!

I'm impressed! I like designing bbs, but I only have four I need to worry about on a regular basis. You could do a current events board. Have kids assigned to bring in news stories from around the world and post the stories on a board around a wall map of the world. Then you could connect a piece of yarn from the news clipping to the correct locationon the map. Your title could be Where in the World did that Happen? Or bring it down to the country level if you like. I have something similar in my room. It stays up all year and we just keep adding to it as the year progresses.
