I recently read a Guided Reading book by Debbie Diller and I think Fountas and Pinnell talk about it to... highlighter tape. Does anyone know what this is or where I can get it? I looked at Office Depot and Target. I assume it's like colored transparent tape that is removable. They talk about it in the books like it is a common thing!

If you cannot find this, you can cut strips of yellow tissue paper (from the gift wrap section of the store) and laminate it.

Yeah, you can find it pretty easily. Look at your teacher supply store, they should have it, and I've ordered it from a couple of the office supply companies.

It's essentially tape that is see through and colored like highlighters, get a couple of colors and you can find different patterns in your reading and writing. We used it tons in our interactive writing last year.

Also I would recommend "Literacy Work Stations", also by Debbie Diller. It's awesome!

Be careful, though, because sometimes it peels some of the ink off the word.

I found some this week at Lakeshore! They had small tape (sorta like skinny scotch tape ) and xtra large (uhhhh sentence strip size). I've been looking for some for a couple of years and went ahead and bought the dispenser w/tape included. With their 20% sale I got the smaller size for just under $20. They have refills (I think 6 rolls/different colors were $14.50) but I didn't have anything to put them on....

    try this http://www.lakeshorelearning.com/seo/ca|searchResults~~p|2534374302090595~~.jsp

I'm wondering if the highlighter tape will project in color on a transparency and the overhead projector?

Yes, you can use them on an overhead/transparency.

I use it for my overhead. I don't think I will get more because it's a bit expencive. It works though if you can afford it. :)
