Currently I'm in school to become a 5-adult english teacher. In addition to this, I looking for a way to teach psychology. How do you get the degree to do this? My university does not offer it, so when I asked they were pretty clueless on the matter. Would I be able to double major and then I will be qualified? Or do I have to have a seperate degree?

Send a PM to ku_alum. She teaches both English and psychology at the high school level.

Much depends on the level at which you want to teach psychology. Are we talking high school or college?

    I just PM'ed you.

I have a Masters degree in psych.
I am certified in 5-12 English.
I took the Psych Praxis to get certified to teach psych.

BUT, the only reason we have psych at my school is because I can teach it to HS students for college credit (because of my Masters degree). I teach concurrent credit English courses and Psychology courses, plus sections of Junior and Senior English.

Psychology is a social studies course at my school. Because I am social studies certified, I am able to teach it along with any other behavioral science course.
