I am in the process of working towards getting an additional endorsement in ESL (I am an experienced secondary English/Social Studies teacher) - I plan on taking the Praxis 5362 as required by my state, and have some materials to help study for that. I am looking for any books/textbooks that you used in your training that you could recommend as being helpful - I am trying to learn as much as I can on my own without taking extra classes. As a teacher who works with a large ELL population, I received a crash course training in SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) and recommend the book Making Content Comprehensible for English Learners as a guide. Not cheap, but what textbook is?
