I've tried emailing the staff there three times and have gotten no response, and I was wondering if any of the users here could help me. I was in the computer lab last week and had my students sign up for Studeous, by setting up an account and requesting to join my class. So far so good. Now, I'm trying to put them in the proper sections and it won't allow it. Any ideas?
Hmm, look on he right hand side bar of the section and look for a link that says "invite students". Then invite which kids your want in each section.
Well, have they already signed up under a certain section/period? I have students that signed up under the wrong period and I haven't figured out how to get them into the right place either. It doesn't really affect them much though (I don't do grades or anything on there), so I haven't looked too much into it.
they are signed up for the "class" but are not in any section - I had them sign up for an account and request to join instead of the "enroll" page - I actually didn't notice that until much later
Can you see their names on the right hand side of the page? If not, it could be that they didn't sign up correctly. I had this problem because many students typed in a nickname for our school instead of the full name, which is what I had signed up under. So while they were "signed up" with Studeous, they couldn't actually enroll in, or see, any of my classes. I had to tell these students to re-sign up, but search for/type in the school's full name. If they are signed up in your class, but just not a particular section, that is easy. Click "Classes" from the left-hand menu. Choose the class you want, and click "Edit Class". This should take you to a page where there are some tabs along the top: Class Info, Sections, Pictures and Students. Click on the "Students" tab and there is an option there to move students to different sections. I hope this helps!
