My daughter wants Uggs...her foot has grown two sizes in the last year. I hate to pay $200 for shoes that might just last one winter. If anyone finds them on sale, let me know. She wants the Classic short..in camel or brown.
Have you done a search like ugg coupon code or a store you buy them at. http://www.offers.com/uggaustralia/...tive=85799762224&device=m&source=s&network=gg I use retailmenot to get a lot of coupons.i just Google the place & check them out.
I know she probably won't want knock-offs, but my mom always made me get shoes in the style of the brand I wanted until I was in college and could buy my own. Or, if I wanted the real thing, I had to save my money. The one time I spend money on fancy shoes, I regretted it because they turned my socks orange and went out of style in about a month after I finally got them. She may be just as happy with these: http://www.shoecarnival.com/womens-...ionid=MV1cANZr2gLC0F8zbr0UpJgL.prod_store02-5 But if you want to get exactly Uggs, the cheapest I've found the style she likes is $150.
Does she NEED them? No. http://wearethatfamily.com/2015/11/10-things-our-kids-dont-need-this-christmas/
I don't know how old she is, but most of the kids Uggs are around $120. Check Zappos. http://www.zappos.com/ugg-kids-girls-shoes~b If she would be happy with the style and quality, the Costco brand are apparently made by Uggs, just without the label.
I would buy the generic Uggs. She will probably be unhappy on Christmas Day. However, in due time she might figure out that she likes them just fine and it won't matter that she has "real" Uggs. My mom bought me knock offs when I was begging for Uggs. Even though I bought Uggs eventually I liked having the trial period. The Bear Paw (or is it Bear Claw?) brand is recognizable and relatively inexpensive. Boscovs and BonTon often have good sales on them.
She is 13. She never asks for anything. She wants the cheapest ones. We have went with other brands, but they don't last. I am leaning toward getting them just because she is the most unselfish child I know. She won $75 at her last showmanship contest and spent it all on gifts for her friends and a little girl at school she didn't think would get Christmas.
I don't want to be rude, but I didn't ask anyone for parenting advice...so sending to me is not welcomed. I just want to ask if anyone sees them on sale to let me know.
Do you know what stores sell them??? I don't even know what stores to look at. Lol Does she wear women's sizes? I would help ya look but don't know the size...
Sorry if my comment offended you, I just couldn't find any on sale and was able to find some cheap alternatives, which is what I would do if were looking for an expensive item. My parents certainly indulged me with things that were not shoes, so I would never question your decision to treat your child to something special! I am not likely to see any on sale because Uggs (and shoes in general) are pretty far off my radar. I hope you able to find a good deal on them, and I know she is going to love getting them!
I'm sure this was aimed at me and the link I posted. But if you can't find them on sale, life will go on without the shoes if she is as humble as you say she is. Not trying to be rude. Just making a point. Sometime you don't get what you ask for... on sale or not. My daughter has asked for expensive shoes in the past and with a growing foot, I told her I wasn't investing money into something that might last one month if that due to growing feet. Take it as parenting advice or take it as common sense spending.
When Lauren was younger, there were a few "big ticket" items on her lists on occasion. I talked to her and put the ball back in her court--if she got the expensive gift, she likely wouldn't get anything else. On a couple of occasions, she was okay with that. Most of the time, though, she decided that she didn't need the super-expensive gift, and she'd rather have more, less expensive gifts.
She sounds like a wonderful kid. While I wouldn't want to give unsolicited advice, if I were you I'd probably lean towards getting them also.
Try the warehouse stores maybe. BJs always had one style so maybe Sams club or costco would have some.
Buy them if you can afford them. She sounds like the kind of girl who will truly appreciate your generosity. Nordstroms has some UGGS on sale.
In terms of durability, Uggs do hold up well. I got my daughter her first pair - some cardies - about six years ago, and she still wears them. She is on her second pair of winter Uggs. I would suggest looking at some of the more unusual stores that carry them because there are deals out there. The first pair I got for my daughter came from Plow and Hearth - and the discount was deep!
Buy them a size bigger than she is currently so she can wear them for two years or so. I have tried a few different brands other than Uggs and honestly, Uggs are worth the money to me. They are so comfortable and they last (as long as you take care of them - get the protective spray!) for years.
I bought this brand of boots several years ago (in 2008, I think...), and they've held up the entire time. Other than the label, they look just like Uggs, but they are more affordable. http://www.amazon.com/Minnetonka-Womens-Short-Pug-Boot/dp/B0027A7VZ8 So, if you're tied to the brand name, then these obviously won't work, but perhaps this would be a good affordable alternative that your daughter would like.
She wears a size 9 womens...she has wore that size since June, so maybe her foot has finally stopped growing. My mother wears a five womens and I wear a 7. My mother in law was a size six. I am not sure where her bigger feet come from. She went from a size 6 to an 8 over night....really within two months. But like I said, she has wore a 9 for a while.
She wants this one. http://www.uggaustralia.com/s/UGG-U...p8ptnXKM6xsUo5a2nBIrCYQe5aTchzcFVwBoCBRvw_wcB
Oh, I would love the purple ones!! I can't wear them though. They aren't really good for my feet because they don't really have any support. They sure are cute though.
Okay, do they have to be the actual Ugg boots? Would she be okay with a lookalike?! I got super cute Ugg lookalikes from Marshalls/TJMaxx one year for $30. They are 5 years old and I still have them. Costco and Sam's Club also has similar boots for a great price!!
Check at Sam's Club. My mom just bought me a pair for Christmas. I have a real pair of Uggs and the ones from Sam's are the most similar ones that I've ever had. They're $30 and come in the camel color. The pair from Sam's are thicker, plus they don't look cheaply made like some other brands do. I would go ahead and buy the Ugg brand water repellant for them. It's $10 a bottle and worth it to keep the boots from having water stains.
I wouldn't wear these for all the tea in China, but I know that they are incredibly popular with students your daughter's age. Sometimes we can give them what they want, sometimes we can't. However, when the child has shown themselves to be basically trouble free and embracing the lessons we want for them to learn, well, parents will do what they can. I may not wear boots, but I can shop. I don't know what these are in the retail stores, but I know that I haven't seen them at Sam's Club. I buy on Ebay frequently, and I have only listed sales that I would feel comfortable using for myself. It may help, it may not, but it is worth the peek. http://www.ebay.com/itm/155-UGG-Aus...290549?hash=item4645889875:g:wWIAAOSwfZ1WXzFJ Might be worth watching - I would buy from this seller. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NIB-Womens-...hash=item27fdb9ed45:m:mt8YObCblkRC2AQChQIOU2Q http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-UGG-CLA...130473?hash=item51dc67a329:g:Wv8AAOSwd4tT~LjU http://www.ebay.com/itm/UGG-CLASSIC...hash=item1c5c69c6d8:m:m9bbXtDi55kfqJgqOxTeLUA http://www.ebay.com/itm/UGG-AUSTRAL...hash=item54279e044d:m:mNg6MoXLkTbBQVVCDYXNLpQ Happy Holidays, and a hope that you will find a great deal on an item that is on the "want" list of many students, your daughter included.
I saw this on MSN's website... this link... http://lifefactopia.com/fashion-bf-tab/?mb=thh&aid=f-pcmb-uab5-us&&sub=msn-msn-home About Quibids.com might be something to check into. http://www.quibids.com/en/
She is so much like me...she was looking online and discovered that Bearpaws sell for almost half the price. She decided that she wanted them. So I went on Amazon and bought them. They are on their way and I saved lots of money. Plus I ordered her a pair of black ones that are so cute from JCPenney Arizona Jeans--I had actually ordered them on Black Friday for her before she asked for the Uggs. She will now have two pairs under the tree and I think she will be happy with both pairs.
