Here's the situation.... I will be a Behavior Modification teacher in 5-6grades. I took the Texes EC-4 and the Texes Special Education EC-12 exams, so do I put down that I want to be certified in Special Education EC-12 or EC-4 or both. The district said that both qualified me for the position. Everyone is now closed.

My understanding is that your probationary will be in the area you teach (Sped), but at the end of the year, assuming you are recommended for full certification you will be certified for anyhting you have tested for. That is what my ACP explained to me, i wanted to be sure I wasn't wasting money on extra tests. Hope that helps!!!;)

Thank you! I decided to wait and talk to the certification specialist at my school district in the morning. The principal thought that I needed to put both of them on the subject line. I didn't want to submit it wrong and delay it.

I'll let you know what the outcome is!
