So, I decided to do an owl theme for next year. I spent the past couple of days redoing my website to reflect my new plan. But know I realize I have no ideas for my room! I know Carson-Dellosa has some cute things, but I need ideas for bulletin boards, jobs, etc.

Anyone do this before? I checked in the archives, but couldn't find anything..

    Thanks

I'm not a "themy" or creative person (aside from the word I just created.)

But what can you do with:
    Night Owl
    Wise Owl

Got this from another board... for reading strategy:
    OWL- Observe, Wonder, Learn

    Whooooo's a good worker - job board.

Use "give a hoot - don't polute" on the trashcan.

Thanks! I love all the ideas, especially the acronyms! My 5th graders love them.

I don't really do theme rooms but next year I have a lot of the teacher created material's polka dot things plus my bulletin board outside will be Whooo's coming to 3rd grade? When I do open house, I'll have my wish list items be a tree with the owls sitting on the branches. Each wish list item will be on an owl.

What about O.W.L binders, Organizaton, _______, ______. Can't think of the acronym for W and L.

and the reading corner could be an owl's nest!

    Organized While Learning. =)

I am doing an Owl/polka dot theme. Sounds weird, but it's working for me!! I was planning on doing Whoooo's in First Grade as a welcome bulletin board. I have a tree on my bulletin board with some owls on it. I don't have any really clever catch phrases yet.

I'd like to do a job board on a tree with owl cutouts. I used to have a poster that said Owlways try your best! =)

You could use a big round floor pillow and paint it shades of brown like a nest, you could also use string pieces, (check freecycle). Then put trees in the background!

That could be cute, those shag rugs would be cute if they could be made into a pillow. With those chunky stretch fabric things? Hard to describe but I can picture it in my head!
