Oh no!!! I'm scared. A P contacted me!!! The first one after all of my applications and resumes etc...
I guess that teaching brochure really works!

Anyway the P told me she received my items and then wrote....

"At this time, I am conducting interviews with teachers who are transferring within the county. If I have positrons available after the transfer process has been completed, I will contact you to schedule an interview".

So there is a possibility I could get called. What should I e-mail her back if anything? I have already snail mailed my stuff as well.

Can someone please be excited for me!!!!! I'm not getting my hopes up but I am happy and scared at the same time.

Definitely e-mail her back! Write something thanking her for keeping you in mind and you look forward to hearing from her again soon. You may want to inquire about a possible time frame, and ask if she needs any other documents from you.

Congratulations! You've made it to the next step!

That's great news! Say something that mentions how you look forward to meeting with her and why you'd want to work at that school.

    Problem!!

The school is new. Just opened last year so there is no information on the school really. So why do I want to work for the school?

Here is what I have so far....

    Hello Mrs. S,

Thank you for keeping me in mind for any future positions. I am very interested in working for ___school. I forward to hearing from you again in the near future.

    Would that be enough?

Being in on the ground floor of a new school is an incredible experience! I was one of the teachers hired when my school was brand new in 1987.

You're part of an incredible experience of forming the school's identity.

I would use the opportunity to show my enthusiasm in this new venture!!!

First of all, CONGRATS!!! That is awesomely big news. Secondly, I like what you have written, but I would add what Alice said about being interested in helping to develop the legacy of the new school as it develops or something to that affect (the morphine isn't helping me to think clearly). Keep us posted!

I worked on a school campus--as a CEO of a contracted support agency. The principal always told me to be brief when I e-mailed her, as she had so many e-mails to read.

Congratulations, That's great! I think what you have is great and agree with other posters that putting in something about it being a new school would probably be a good thing to add in.
