Are there any fellow Royals fans out there? I've been a fan since the team was formed (I lived in the KC area), and have been a George Brett fan since he started with the Royals in 1973. Is anyone as excited as I am? :)

I don't really understand baseball. It is a bit like cricket but without the excitement! I have attended a couple of White Sox games and really that is about 10 hours of my life I would want back. (I had to go a 2nd time just to confirm that it was like watching paint dry)! However if I had to choose it would be the Blue Jays for me as I have visited Toronto and have eaten on Blue Jay Way (At Gretzkys)!

I'm a lifelong Royals fan! I have gone to games since I was a kid (I live in Kansas). My husband grew up in Kansas City. We are having a blast watching The World Series.

I loved Toronto! I assume Gretzkys was named after Wayne! Love him!

Although on the East Coast for, um, "a lot of years", I was pleased as punch when the Royals came to KCMO. Kind of missed the A's for a while, but I have been true blue to the Royals, and that counts all of the years when they just couldn't get their ducks in a row. I still have fond memories of my mom calling with they won the world series, absolutely hoarse, but over the moon. I never go for the family visit without catching a game or two. I saw this team in August, and was impressed, so a little more invested in this series, I think. George Brett was the first rookie card that I bought for myself, and I still have it safely tucked away.

I know that neither team would have been in the top picks for World Series at the season openers, so both Mets and Royals fans have beaten the odds. Play Ball!

I haven't watched as a huge fan since the late 80s. Back then it was Tigers & twins! I love/loved Kirby Puckett. I was lucky enough to watch him play & lives Lance Parrish the catcher for Tigers. I think k love of Tigers came from my gpa. He was either watching or had them on the radio!!! My gpa was quite a pitcher when he was young. He even was a little league ump for a player who played in majors & I got to meet that player...so that was cool!!!

I am (obviously!) a Tigers fan. Curtis Granderson was my Tiger, so I am rooting for the Mets! (I wanted a Blue Jays vs Cubs World Series, but I didn't get my wish :(.)

We are even - I don't get cricket. It must have something to do with our upbringing. When in England for a while I got to go to a match, but I walked away scratching my head. I am game to blame our mutual disinterest on the Atlantic Ocean!

My hubby is a huge Royals fan, and drove down to KC to see game 2. I watched on TV some. I am not a huge baseball fan in general, but I root for the Royals since Sweets does. The World Series was tons of fun to watch this year.

Not if you were a Mets fan.
