I applied through ed-join last december to a district and recieved a e-mail the other day that I have been invited to this event. It is only 90 minutes long and it is by invitation. They did say to bring about 20 copies of your resume. Any one ever been to one and what do you do there? Thanks, teachyjak

I haven't heard of it, but it's probably like an exclusive job fair. That would be cool.

I was invited to one once, but didn't go. It was one district that invited the candidates they were interested in to a social event at the school and other teachers, board members, and administrators would be there to basically watch you and interact with you and then they would decide who to interview further.

    Meet and greet

    Hi,

Some districts have these here in Arizona. In my experience, they have been very informal get togethers, usually in a school gym or lunch room where you can go and meet with school/district personnel. No interviews were conducted and there was opportunity to pass out resumes.
