I can finally share the good news. My husband and I are expecting our first baby at the end of February! We are extremely excited! Have any helpful advice...feel free to post it! I love hearing everything and anything baby these days!
Congrats! February babies are so sweet, kind, generous, loving, just generally all around awesome... (teehee, mine's the 10th!)
Congrats!!!! How are you feeling?? I had 2 February babies, and by this end of the summer I was feeling so much better!!
Here's the #1 Rule for Expectant And New Mothers: Whatever advice you get, as long as the intent is not clearly malign, smile and say thank you. What you do with the advice later is entirely up to you.
Congrats!!! February babies are the best . I may be a tad biased I suppose; My birthday's the 4th, my son's is the 12th and my daughter's is the 24th.
February babies are the best! Morning sickness is over by the time school starts. Maternity leave includes that "dead of winter"time when you've had enough already of winter. And by the time their first Christmas rolls around, they're old enough to enjoy the lights and wrapping paper at least
I had a friend who started reading that & just got overwhelmed. I had a book (I'll get the title for ya... maybe tomorrow... I let someone borrow it) that a cousin gave me. I've let 2 people borrow it & they said they liked it better because it was just short little info about that week. I always read the week before, the week I was on & the next week. It took like 10 mins to read all that... Like I said I'll get the title for ya.
Congrats!!! We just had our baby girl 3 weeks ago and being a mom is great. I got a lot of good info on thebump.com and the book what to expect when you're expecting was useful too! We used the pampers app on our iPad to see the babys weekly development.
Thanks everyone! We actually didn't plan for this time...we planned to have a baby but whenever it happened it happened. But I am glad that I won't be very pregnant during this hot summer because I cannot handle the heat! I love hearing experiences and advice about babies...but yes, I take what advice I want of course. Don't agree with everything! I've actually felt really good! No morning sickness whatsoever. During my first 10 weeks I felt EXTREMELY tired. But now I'm in my 14th week and I've been good lately. I've read What to Expect...and The Mother of All Pregnancy Books. I have an app called "BabyBump" on my phone, and have gone on BabyCenter. But to be honest, some of those interactive forums are just plain crazy. Tons of women + raging hormones = pure choas! Thanks again for all the congrats. We get to find out the gender on the 9/27, can't wait!
Naaaah, you should keep it a secret and wait until the baby is born to find out!!!! That's what I would do if I was pregnant. Knowing my luck, a doctor would say the gender anyways, but it's worth a try!! I"m just that weird and crazy.
For sooooome reason, I had a feeling YOU were going to say that. I just have this feeling that you are a bit, just a bit, weird like me.
IF ever have kids, I think I am more inclined to NOT know the sex. It's always appealed to me; that bit of surprise.
We didn't know what we were having and it was great not knowing and having everyone guess. The doctor and nurses in labor and delivery thought I was having an 8 lb boy and turned out to be a 6 lb girl!
            Now that's what I call job security! Teachers have to do their part to keep kids coming into the school world. Congratulations
