I have only seen The Proposal-and it was GREAT! a Lot more of my friends told me that the Proposal was funny and good. Nobody has said anything about the Ugly Truth...so I'm waiting for Netflix on that one

I loved The Proposal, it was hilarious. Even my DH thought it was really funny. We haven't seen the Ugly Truth and probably won't see it at the theater.

I saw The Ugly Truth and thought it was funny - but it may be a good one for Netflix.

I have seen both. I really enjoyed The Ugly Truth, and Gerard Butler is always nice to watch too. I wasn't as keen on the Proposal. It felt like I had seen it before because it was very formulaic. Betty White was a hoot though.

I've seen them both and would recommend them both. Betty White is hilarious. She's just such a dirty old woman with a sweet exterior.

I liked The Ugly Truth more than my boyfriend did. He saw it before me and gave me low expectations, and I ended up loving it.

I saw both of them and thought they were both pretty good. Of course, when I go to the movies (since I'm so broke lately) I only paid for my ticket ($7.50) and brought my own popcorn and drink.

Sometimes, a lot of theaters will have a twilight showing (last show before 6) that is cheaper than the matinee price. It's $4.50 at my theater for the twilight show. And Tuesday is $1 popcorn day!

Those theater reward cards are totally worth signing up for. They're free, you don't get junk mail, and every few movies, you get a free small drink or popcorn and you can pay the difference (usually a quarter) to upgrade to the next size.

The Proposal was great. I usually am not a laugher when it comes to comedy, but I spend a large part of that movie laughing. I also liked have you weren't sure which was the movie would end until the end. Last year, my husband and I went to Alaska for our honeymoon. I could totally relate to a few parts of the movie and it was fun to "see" Alaska again. This is movie I would go see again. I have not see (or heard) of the other movie.

I've seen both movies and liked each one equally as well. I agree that Gerard Butler is easy on the eyes too which is always a plus! Betty White is great in The Proposal, but I thought Sandra Bullock was kind of "old" for the part. I reality, she is 12 years older. I looked it up! Movies are an escape for me. I have a Regal Cinema card and I earn free tickets and free popcorn and drinks. I often attend alone as I don't see the need to go with someone since there's no real interaction taking place with your companion. I'm a movie junkie, I guess you could say! It's really my only vice.

Well, if that is the worse vice you have, you are in pretty good shape.
