Has anyone seen it yet?
Saw it last night at MIDNIGHT! It was AWESOME! The best of the 5, I think!
Book 5 was my least favorite book, so I didn't have really high hopes for the movie. Maybe that's why I liked it so much -- because I didn't care for a lot of what they cut anyway.
I don't want to stand in the loooooong lines. I can't wait though!
I think I may go next week , hopefully it wont be too crowded
I went tonight. It was great!

I actually really enjoyed the book, one of my favorites. Which one was your favorite?
My son has been planning on taking his friends today for his birthday party since last year, oh yeah, the noise, 8 boys ages 16-9, still worth every single angonizing second! (the movie was great, the rest was agoninzing!)
I was ticked off when it was over, I was soooooo mad! Time to read more books!
We saw it this morning. I thought it was wonderful! Book 5 is my favorite, I think.
I saw it at 12:01 am today and nerdy as it may seem, my friend and I made shirts. =) Book 5 was one of my favorite and I was expecting a lot from the movie. Which is probably the reason why I was disappointed with this movie.
You were disappointed? I thought it was one of the best movies.
Has anyone heard that M. Night Shyamalan would be directing the 6th and 7th movies?
In my opinion, I think the best movie so far has to be the 4th one.
Here in Chicago, the public library system has a performance by a Harry Potter tribute band..they're called Harry and the Potters. They will be performing July 17 at the Harold Washington Library. People are invited to attend dressed as their favorite character!!
What do you think? Would someone tell me what music they could possibly be performing?
I saw the movie tonight; I liked it, but I hate it that so much great stuff gets cut out! Would I sit through a six-hour Harry Potter movie put together by smart people who put everything in the book in the movie? Oh HELLZyah.
Why does everything have to cater to people with short attention spans and little tiny bladders?
I haven't seen the movie yet. I may have to go by myself
I've liked each book better than the one before. I think I can say that about the movies too.
My husband and I plan to go this weekend when the crowds die down!
Speaking of HP, who is excited for book 7? I am quickly re-reading book 6 so I will be up to date on what to expect in the final book!
I can't wait!
I'm excited about book 7. I'd heard about a year ago that the release date would be 7.7.7 . Boy, was I disappointed when that didn't pan out!
Order Of The Phoenix was my favorite book too.
Movies are never as good as the book in Harry Potter or any other instance.
I went and enjoyed it. I always do the HP movies. But I think they cut some crucial stuff. We had someone with us who had never read the books, just watched the movies. She had no idea what was going on for what I thought were some major parts of the story.
So...has anyone heard of this tribute band I mentioned earlier. I think it's hilarious!!
I plan on going next week during the middle of the day when it is less crowded. I can't wait to see it. I have loved all of the movies and I think that they just keep getting better!!!

I have not heard that, but I LOVE M. Night Shymalan!! His movies are amazing. I am actually not a huge fan of the HP movies, because so much gets cut out, and I love the books too much, but if he directed the last 2, I'd have to make a point of seeing them. (Wow. That is an awful sentence....Sorry.)
I saw it last night ...I am wayyy behind in the reading but I am half way through order of the phoenix and was a little mad they left some stuff out but overall I liked the movie
I went to see it today and thought it was great! They changed the story somewhat like they always do but not in the major things.
I'm upset that they left so many details out. After the movie, I had to spend some time filling in the details to the people who saw it with me. Even though the movie is 2 hours and 20 minutes long, it didn't feel that long. I could have sat through another hour or so....

Oh, I agree with the that Peachyness! I've never thought they've been long enough.
I've wondered if they ever considered making the books into sequel movies to cover them better.

. . . a mini-series that left nothing out, and didn't change a thing!
That would be just the ticket
On another board, I chatted just a bit about the teaching styles of the professors and it hit me what I miss in the movies --
The depth of the relationships.
This may be a SPOILER . . .
Dobby's missing and we don't know how badly Percy has hurt his folks or how rocky Sirrius's and Harry's relationship was at times and we haven't gotten to see Neville with his parent's and grandmother or Lockhart in the loony bin with the kids knowing and him not having a clue
Without all that, it's good, but it's just not the same.
