My school has eliminated the Halloween Parade since not everyone celebrates Halloween. I was wondering if I could do a letter parade instead? Have each kid either carry or wear things that start with a certain letter and parade?

Do you think this would stress parents out or do you think they would like the idea?

I think that would be a great idea...I'm thinking of doing something similar..I'm not sure of my school district's policy on celebrating Halloween, which kind of bums me out, since I love the holiday..but you can always do a fall-linked activity/festival and be fine...

I like your idea. Just a couple of other ideas. They could dress up as their favorite book character, nursery rhyme, etc. or an occupation-to show what they want to be when they grow up.

I love Halloween too... those all sound like great ideas, I will have to suggest them to my team and see what they think!!
