Ok, so I have a list of links to my Halloween activities we'll be doing in the next few days. Hope this helps some people! Spooky stories (we're going to write these and then tell them around a 'campfire'): http://www.welcometothepond.com/Spooky Stories.htm Monster Tales: http://www.welcometothepond.com/Monster Tales.htm Moans, Groan and Skeleton Bones: http://www.welcometothepond.com/Moans Groans and Skeleton Bones.htm Stir up a Spooky Story: http://www.welcometothepond.com/spooky.htm There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat: http://www.welcometothepond.com/There_Was_an_Old_Lady.pdf M&M math: http://www.welcometothepond.com/Math Files/M&M Math.pdf Halloween Packet from awesome Ms. Jazatal: http://teachingvision.org/resources/halloweenfun.pdf Pumpkin Seed Multiplication: http://www.lauracandler.com/news/2008/Pumpkin Seed Multiplication.pdf Spooktacular Story Board (to be used with spooky stories): http://www.lauracandler.com/holidays/Spooktacular-Story-Board.pdf Pumpkin Predictions: http://www.lauracandler.com/holidays/pumpred.pdf Pumpkin Talk: http://www.lauracandler.com/holidays/pumptalk.pdf Halloween Point Plotting: http://www.lauracandler.com/holidays/pumkplot.pdf Hallo-Weiner Script: http://www.timelessteacherstuff.com/readerstheater/Hallowiener.html I also printed out a sheet of tiny pumpkins, ghosts, witches, etc. The kids will write stories, and whenever they are referring to the witch, they will put a picture of the witch. I forget what these are called, but we're going to use them to work on dialogue.
Jem- Those all look like such fun ideas! How are you going to fit them all in? I like the Moans, Groans, and Skeleton Bones book, but I couldn't tell from the website how it gets put together. Is it one of those books where you flip the 3 different parts, and get different sentences each time?
ditto- we can't "stray from the curriculum"....like the kids will really be paying attention friday afternoon!!
I love the pumpkin science sheet from Laura Candler. Tomorrow for me is pumpkinology. They'll count the seeds, see how many pumpkins make up their weight, do general measurements, etc. This year I even decided we are rolling our pumpkins down the large, steep hill at school to see which is going to fall first (in seconds). Then Friday we'll have a wacko amount of science after the stories at the campfire- atomic slime, sound effect balloons, science with light sticks, and... food, food, and more food. Okay, that last part isn't science!! But I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to the upcoming festivities, letting loose after being sort of rigid this past week.
Hai folks Thanks but i have doubt Halloweens have this much of activities... i like to watch them some Halloweens looks very strange & weird face looks....
Looks like fun but we here can't do anything geared towards Halloween or "cookie cutter" type activities or basically having any sort of fun activity for the students even thought they are still kids.
