So anyone take that test score low on ability to work with kids in poverty and still get a job?

That darn thing doesn't give good answers. The options were this one sucks, this one sucks worse and this one would get you fired. lol

I have never heard of such a thing! I don't like the idea of taking a test to gauge your abilities as a teacher -- if you passed the Praxis tests and student teaching, why should you have to take yet another test? What test can really show whether or not you'd be good with low-income kids??

It doesn't really. It just asks some basic questions, what would you do if.....and an effective teacher is judged by....etc.

I got an email back saying I got a passing score, I expect the job offer to be formal tomorrow (we even mentioned salary today....I am sure its coming tomorrow). But I sure did panic when it said I was low in my ability to work with poverty kids

I had to take this test to get a job in my previous district. For this particular tests, you can basically look up the answers they're looking for, and you can pay to take the test on their website first (so you can make sure you get a decent score before taking it "for real"). The ironic thing is the Haberman philosophy was pretty much 100% against everything my district appeared to think/stand for when I started working there.
