Do you do Guided Reading the Fountas way? If so, how do you divide your group time in the upper levels (grades 3-5)? How do you grade your students? What do you discuss during your group time? How long do you meet with each group? Do you do shared reading with all groups or just the lower groups?

Has anyone worked with a Literacy Coach? Do you meet with them every day? Do they watch you teach every day?

Please share your experiences. Thank you SO much!:thanks:

Our model classroom teachers meet daily w/their coaches for a week once a month. I thank God I'm not one of them!

I take a grade about 2 times a week. I have a 2nd grade gifted class & sometimes I have them write a full summary of the book, or write text connections. Don't make the grading part hard, if they turn something in they get credit for it.
