Thank you so much!! I am just so excited about this that I am up at 2:30 and thinking about all that has to be done. This is just so crazy trying to plan how I am actually physically moving down there and very little packed! But things are strangely falling into place. MommyS, I guess I'll cancel but I am very curious about it. xitalian, Atlanta is my home. We moved away from there 5 years ago (I said 6 before but it has been 5...good thing I don't teach math lol). Where are you moving to? (I know exactly where Canton is--I was hoping to get a job there at the charter that is opening up but this one fell into my lap). WDW, I'm going to PM you. I was just thinking I'd love to come up with a theme or something for the library...I don't even know where to begin with being an MS since that is not where I am certified (I reminded them of this when they offered the position).

The charter is a hotbed of emotions around here to be honest. They have upped class sizes from what they originally told parents and some are upset over feeling like they are getting the bait and switch now that class sizes will be pretty much the same as CCSD schools. Some parents applied to the charter for class size issues only, so they are now wondering if they made the right decision. They also just announced no bus service at all for the first year and parents are scrambling to try to work out carpools etc....it will be interesting to see how it all goes over in this county this first year.
How awesome for you! I understand about your son not wanting to leave his ROTC unit. My son has a leadership position with his unit & I know he'd have a hard time leaving. Will your son be able to get a similiar or higher position?
Congratulations! That sounds like a terrific job! It is great that they hired you and are allowing you to start your degree while working. They must really like you! Hope your move goes well! We will all be curious to hear how you settle into your new position!
Congrats! I have to move to MN and everything in a short amount of time for my FIRST teaching job as a elementary science specialist but I am so excited! Focus on the positive and remember it will ALL work out and be so so worth it Good Luck!
