A pocket chart stand. $6 at Home Depot, my DH did the sawing and it's all set. Just have to take it to the class now and test it for sturdiness.

Great job! I saw the same thing being sold on ebay for $16 with $10 shipping!! Big difference in costs when you do things yourself!;)

Great work! Thanks for the picture... I have been wanting to make one for my classroom as a partition to section off my classroom library. I plan on covering it with paper and turning it into a mobile bulletin board.

I love to hear from thrifty people. My team teacher will buy anything that crosses her path, and makes me feel like I am such a miser.
    KUDOS to saving money!!

Could you possibly post the dimensions of the pipes you used? The size of pipe and how long the pieces are.
    Thanks!

My husband made one for my classroom too! It is so cute. He is so proud of it and wants to make me a reading house. I told him to wait to see how big my room is.

I measured the pocket chart I used, I really don't remember them. It was an inch longer and wider than the pocket chart. I do wish I made the pipes taller, so I'd add 5 inches to the length.

they were 3/4 thick pvc pipes. I used two elbow things for the top and 4 three way connector (no threading). You'll see when you get to the hardware store, you need to try to fit them together. I did buy 2 pipes. I'd guess they were 10-15 feet in length.
