Here is a link to a freebie from Lakeshore... which would be great for a set of Match Cards. You could print two sets and you'd have matching word to word, pic to pic, word to pic, etc.

Let's post great ideas for READY MADE match cards here. This is a great way for teachers to get "started" in the match card realm. Please post links to cards that are already created that teachers can just print and laminate.

http://www.eslflashcards.com/ has a ton of great flash cards.

Some come in sets, some you can be creative with (print the set of color words, print the set of color cards) - and some you'll just have to print the words on your own.

This is a pay site. I paid for a month and then printed off what I wanted in that time. I particularly liked the "non-identical matching" cards for some of my lower kids on the spectrum.

Still going through my favorites list... there might be more ;).

Weird how they don't let you see what you're getting?? Is it worth the $10?

I found it worth $10 but I had some very low level kids that I needed the printable cards for. Lots of repeating so best for students who need that.

You should be able to see some of the things without buying a membership. Hit the "enter here" on the page that I linked to and then you can see the categories along the top and go in and get a better idea of what you're paying for.

    Idea!

Not a printable resource, but for lower kids (who are maybe just able to do identical picture matching or basic sorting independently) you can make a lot of sets quickly, cheaply, and easily with stickers.

Match two cards with identical stickers OR make an envelope w/say, Bob the Builder on it and another envelope with Thomas the Tank Engine. They have to decide which envelope the cards go in. This has helped me teach the match card-independent work system, and have a variety of on-level independent work quickly and easily. Then as I teach harder concepts (with the match cards, of course!) I can slowly phase them into their work boxes.

Bonus: I had a ton of random stickers that I used up this way.
Another Bonus: It is usually pretty easy to find seasonal stickers, so, at least at elementary level, they are kind of doing what their peers are doing.
