Yes.

Sometimes they read it themselves, sometimes with a partner, sometimes with a small group, and sometimes to the large group. I also read to them regularly.

There’s no “best.” A mix of approaches is most effective.

 

They have to do all kinds to be successful. No one way works all the time for all students and for all types text.
