Just wanted to thank everyone for all the help and support on here! I was actually offered a position on the spot during the interview and accepted it. It has been a whirlwind since getting back. I am in Michigan and am moving to North Carolina. I think that this forum with all the help and interview questions which I looked over gave me that extra bit of preparation that made the difference! I felt comfortable walking in to the interview and was able to answer the questions - I wasn't caught off guard.

    Thanks again everyone! :D

You're going to love North Carolina! It's where my hoosband is from, so we vacation there all the time.

(Although it is a little to hot and muggy for me... I'm a cold-weather girl from North Dakota!)

Welcome to North Carolina! It's a great state and has one of the best retirement programs in the nation for teachers.

I will be teaching in the central part of the state (Piedmont Triad) in a smaller city school. 5th Grade and the principal was great - she made the decision a lot easier. School begins Aug 27th but I have training that begins Aug 13 so I will be moving there right before then. I am going back down at the end of this week for some HR stuff and to find a place to live.
