Just wanted to thank everyone for all the help and support on here! I was actually offered a position on the spot during the interview and accepted it. It has been a whirlwind since getting back. I am in Michigan and am moving to North Carolina. I think that this forum with all the help and interview questions which I looked over gave me that extra bit of preparation that made the difference! I felt comfortable walking in to the interview and was able to answer the questions - I wasn't caught off guard. Thanks again everyone!
Yeah!!!!!! Go You!!!!!!!!!! Please give us details, grade, subject, how soon are you going!!! How exciting!!!!
Congratulations!! You must have really impressed them. Good luck with the move... and, yes, we need details!
Congratulations! What will you be teaching? You're going to love North Carolina! It's where my hoosband is from, so we vacation there all the time. (Although it is a little to hot and muggy for me... I'm a cold-weather girl from North Dakota!)
Welcome to North Carolina! It's a great state and has one of the best retirement programs in the nation for teachers.
I will be teaching in the central part of the state (Piedmont Triad) in a smaller city school. 5th Grade and the principal was great - she made the decision a lot easier. School begins Aug 27th but I have training that begins Aug 13 so I will be moving there right before then. I am going back down at the end of this week for some HR stuff and to find a place to live.
