My school is experiencing trouble using this app. For some it works well. For others students submit the google doc assignment but the teacher gets a binary file. (.bin). which is unusable. Thoughts?
I’m not familiar with a Google Drive Assignments App. I’ve used Google Drive and Google Classroom, and all of the other associated programs. I’d need more clarification to be able to offer help. I am usually pretty good with all things Google because our district did a big push for Google Educator certification years ago. I did both Level 1 and 2 certifications, then renewed each once as well.
How about going to Google Classroom without the app. Just use the Google Chrome app and then go to Google Classroom. Google Classroom is an awesome tool. I use it all the time without the app. I am unsure about the Google Drive Assignments App. Even without it, it is so easy for students to submit work via Google Drive, this extra short cut isn't necessary and probably doesn't save much time IMO.
