At my new teacher induction the past few days, they talked about Google Classroom. I'm really interested in using it this year and set it up. I wanted to test it out on the student end (with a personal email) and it wouldn't let me log in with the class code. I tried all of my classes and reset the code and still nothing. Any idea why this is happening?

The classroom is probably locked to anyone without a district email address. There are plenty of videos that will show you how to use it in detail.

Yeah, I tried to do the same thing and that was the issue. It only works with district accounts.

Ask around and your district might have some classrooms set up for training or some classrooms for teacher info so you can see the student view. For what it's worth I don't think the student view is much different aside from a couple of buttons, the buttons for posting and such are in the same place in each view.
