I'm looking for a good science book for preschoolers. I have heard mixed reviews of the GIANT one, and am having a hard time finding something with good ideas. Anyone have any favourites?
Resource type books? I like Sharon MacDonald's Everyday Discoveries: Amazingly Easy Science and Math Using Stuff You Already Have and Science is Simple by Peggy Ashbrook is on my to buy list.
Preschoolers, hm? See if Usborne has anything to suit you: http://www.ubah.com/b1854. There are lots of goodies there; not many are directly accessible to kids that age, but some of them are fine classroom resources, and a few are fairly early readers.
A great book that I absolutely love is Lisa Murphy's Even More Fizzle Pop and Wow!, this book is amazing. You can get her book on the ooeygooey site.
I like "science is simple" ..go to the gryphon house website and they have tons of sample activities from each of their books (and they have lots of science books!)
