I usually buy expo brand, but they're expensive and i was wondering if anyone knows a site/or store to get a bunch of them cheap...any brand as long as they're good quality.

I like to use a variety of colors, because black is too boring for me...i usually use purple, green, or red...so i need a pack that has different colors.

I just saw in the Target dollar section they have SRX (I think that's the brand) dry erase markers for $1. They have 2 packs of the long skinny ones and 3 packs of colorful mini ones. It would be a cheap way to stock up on dry erase markers!

I use 9 x 12 felt pieces that you can get from any craft store and cut them in half.

They're cheap and they last the whole school year. By cheap, I mean 25 cents for each 9 x 12. They come in a variety of nice colors too.

By the way, check your local Staples for markers - I just bought 40 of them for $8. They are selling them in packs of 5 for $1 each this week. You can only buy 2 packs at a time, but I brought my children and bought lots.

If you have an IKEA near you, they have some great dry erase markers in their kids section. I use them with my kids and they work really well. They last for a decent amount of time and come in a variety of colors.

Target has a 12 pack (red, green, blue, black). I don't remember the brand, but the markers are white and come in a cube. They have them on the shelf and not hanging. :)

They been on sale a lot this summer - I got a 2 4 packs at Staples for 1/2 off, they were on sale for $1.50 for a 4 pack at CVS last week, and they're on sale at Office Max next week. Expo is really the only brand that lasts a while for me, but I figured if I got a few packages of cheap ones too I could make it through the year.

Walgreens has a coupon in the store. It is a small book with coupons, it is not in the add. It is advertised as 2.50? I believe for a pack of 6. They are florescent expo markers. They have the regular ones as well though. I went to office depot and they had the same ones for $8, so its a great deal! It ends on Saturday.

Expo markers last quite a while (in my experience, at least)!

Yes, and they are super difficult to erase! I now only use them to write things on my board that I want to stay on for awhile so it won't be easily smudged.

They are on sale at CVS again this week.

And there is an in-store coupon at Office Max for $5 off - you can get 4/$6 and then only pay $1.

Office Depot told me that I could purchase 30 packages at a time since I'm a teacher. You just need to make sure you have the STAR teacher rewards card with you. I was only able to get six today because they had already sold out :(.

Yes, they were terrible....the line was too thin and it didn't erase well. I actually used it to write the subject headings on my homework board because I knew it wouldn't be accidentally erased ;)

I was in Costco today, and they had the big pack of colored Expos for a very good price, which of course I cannot remember. I was tempted, but resisted!
