I have always started the morning with a song- the kids come in unpack, sit on the rug and then we sing. I have been using two songs for the past 4 years and I'm a bit sick of them- on eis the greg and steve good morning song and the other isn't on the tip of my toung. I was wondering if anyone else had any siggestions of any good morning songs that I might use for this next year. thanks:love:

I'm So Glad to Be Here! - Theresa & Paul Jennings

I play it twice...once to round the kids up to the carpet and the second time through they do the motions.

"the corn is as high as an elephant's eye"....love the Oklahoma idea! Putting that on my Ipod now.

I use so many...the kids love "Good Mornin" from Singing in the Rain. I show them the scene from the movie, which they think is hysterical. My assistant and I laugh every morning as they walk around the room, putting their things away, singing along with Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds! :)

Great idea about the Oklahoma song! We usually go on Youtube and find songs. The Good Morning song is a favorite and the kids love the part where they say Bon Jour!Buenos Dias!Buon Giorno!
There are also a lot of cute Days of the Week songs. There is one to the tunes of the Adams Family song and another one to the tune of Day-O.

I'm thinking about at least starting the year with "The More We Get Together" (not sure if that's a Canadian song or not) It involves all the children's names so I thought I could incorporate names on cards at the begnning as well.
