When i first started teaching I liked Instructor Magazine by Scholastic. It seemed to answer all questions that I needed when I need it.

The Mailbox series is great - depending on your grade level, as well as Bookbag. Both of those are great resources. What grade/subject are you teaching?

For Christmas, my parents got me a subscription to Teaching K-8 and Instructor. I love them both. My school library also receives The Mailbox and Teacher's Helper, which are wonderful as well...but even better since I don't have to pay for them! :)

I also enjoy Instructor and The Mailbox. They are full of great ideas. Another one you might want to try is Creative Classroom. Also, if you join certain teaching organizations a lot of the memberships come with educational journals. I hope this helps!

The International Reading Association has some good newsletters and journals. So does the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development...they cost money to join but they look good on your resume and you get good reading material. I couldn't tell you how I got the invites to join...they just wound up in my mailbox:)
