Good books?

    hey everyone,
    books are a major part of continuing to educate myself in spec ed. i have been looking for a book that has possible modification/accommodations for different disability categories, but have yet to find one. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help.

    What level are you interested in? (Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle/High School?)

    There is a wonderful book out there just like that and works at all levels....The Pre-refferal Intervention Manual. It says PRIM on the spine. I've had mine forever and it's packed or I'd tell you the author. The same publisher does one for IEP's too.

    Yes, I have the same book as Trinda and it is marvelous, especially in the beginning. The publisher, I believe is Hawthorne House.

    Thanks for the tip. I passed this on to the Response to Intervention team. They are always coming to special education for these type of tips. It will be great for them to have something on hand to work with.

    I had to pop in and say thank you! I just got the 2006 edition on hes-inc.com for $40. By the way, they've posted a peek at the inside of the book and it looks like it will be the best $40 I'm going to spend!

    Half.com is a great place to find cheap books! It's a sister site to ebay.com
