Has anyone else done an EOY maternity leave? Next Friday is my last day. I have a LTS in my class for the last 7 weeks. I'm so nervous about leaving my class. She will be doing all of the EOY testing, report cards etc. Our 4th qt started yesterday so essentially she will the the teacher for the entire 4th qtr. I'm working on my binder and will leave her with 2 weeks of lesson plans, class info, procedures, and a little blurb on each student. Does anyone have any advice.. am I leaving anything out?

I did mine MOY. Would have liked to take rest of year off, but could not. What grade do you teach?

Thanks everyone! I want to make it as easy for my sub as possible. I feel bad that she is going to have to deal with all of the end of year stress (although she volunteered for the job, I need to remember that!) I teach 1st grade.

I would leave a list of any testing that gets done and a time frame. Also, I would leave any placement information that you pass on like kids to separate, etc. I would also leave some end of the year packing directions, unless you are going to come back to do this.
Has this teacher been in to observe?

We don't have to pack up our rooms so she won't have to do anything. I am taking all of my personal items when I go. I do have a testing dates list in my binder, hopefully that'll help. She'll be in next week- she's going to observe for most of the week then we sill transition the class to her on my last day.

A suggestion from a current LTS - you might want to leave your sub a list of what paperwork needs to be done on each student and where the paperwork needs to go, if you have any inclusion kids in your room. I teach special ed, and it seems like every time I do anything I have to make copies and send it to three different people!
