Nope nope nope. I can access my work email on my phone - so parents can email me if there's an issue. If I'm on a class trip, the secretary has my phone number and she will contact me (then either follow with the parent or I will call the parent myself).

I called a parent - who liked to nit pick everything I did - on my personal cell phone because I knew either I had to deal with her complaint or she would go straight to my P before the evening was over. She never used it to contact me, thankfully, but I don't want to set a precedent that parents can contact me out of school hours. It doesn't mean I don't contact parents after school hours or that I don't care, it's just that I need a personal life and I can't work 24/7.
