I just went to the supermarket and bought the Pillsbury Gingerbread Dough that is all ready made. All I had to do was roll it out and use the cookie cutters. I had the kids each decorate a cookie.

Here's the one that we use for our Gingerbread party:

In a large bowl, sift and mix together:
    3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 t. baking soda
    1 T. ginger
    1 t. cinnamon
    1/4 t. ground cloves
    1/4 t. ground nutmeg

In another bowl or mixxer, cream:
    12 T. unsalted butter
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 egg

Stir the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.

    Then add:
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 T. vanilla

Let the dough rest at least 2 hours, roll dough 1/4 inch thick and cut with a cutter. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 7-10 minutes on a greased cookie sheet. Do not peek!!
