I'm trying to make my xmas shopping list. My boyfriend's sister is coming in to town but I have no idea what she likes. I don't see her often since she's on the other side of the country. She's late 20's, single, an engineer, lives in CA. I know she likes music but I've gotten her something music related before. We are planning on doing a paint-night when she comes in to town. What do you give people when you don't really know what they're into. Asking my boyfriend is like asking a brick wall haha. He tells me things she likes from 10 years ago!
How about a gift card and an accessory of some sort? A cosmetic bag, gloves, funky necklace or bracelet...
In this case... maybe peruse her facebook feed to see what her likes are and get a related gift card?
Bath products are my goto gifts. Bath and Body, The Body shop, or Bliss! Include the receipt, so that she can return it if needed. Or for the music, an iTunes gift card might be appreciated. If that is a no-go, pick out a scarf or shawl that she could wear.
If you go to a craft fair or farmer's market and get a couple of nice little local gifts, like a bar of handmade soap, a knit hat, handmade candles, local chocolates etc.... sometimes those little artisan gifts are so nice.
