Time to show off my classroom! I did a minimal amount of work yesterday and forgot to take pictures Today I took pictures before I started and then again when I was done! I hung up posters, set up my little library, started a bulletin board, and organized the desk. I went to Target after work today and picked up some things for the student work area. I also still need to bring in pictures. I'm going to print some off tonight too. It's coming along I'm beat though! I carried in a ton of stuff today! I'm hoping tomorrow will be the last time I need to do any major work before school starts. Friday we have orientation, Monday retreat, Tuesday meetings, and then Wednesday is our work day. I'd like to spend the work day not worrying about my set up and just concentrating on planning! Thanks! I really like the desk set up a lot. I snagged a two shelf book case from my new neighbor who didn't want it and it's working perfectly! My room is fairly spacious! I used to only have 23 desks but I have a class of 25 so I had two added. If I get anymore added I'm not sure where I'll put them :lol:
It was actually already in my room! I stood there staring at it for about 15 minutes, asked my next door neighbor if he had any ideas but couldn't come up with anything. That night as I was going to sleep it dawned on me :lol:
So far, so good! The "now showing: our best work" is clever, and I'm so jealous of your large and many windows!
Thanks! Re: the desks-the old teacher had them set up that way and I just left them. There are only 2 classes where I'll actually have to use the majority of the desks. One of my classes only has 10 kids! So we can be really spread out in most classes I went with a kind of general movie theme for my bulletin board. The first thing will be "I Am" poems, which most of the classes are doing on the first day. The teacher next door to me has been a great resource for ideas and help!
