Hello! I have been asked to tutor a high school sophomore for two weeks prior to the start of school. She struggled with Algebra I and her parents want me to get her ready/give her a quick preview of Geometry. For those of you that teach high school Geometry, what are some of the topics that you'd want someone to cover with your students?

    Thanks!

Off the top of my head:

    - Factoring & quadratic equations (especially ones with a leading coefficient other than one-- too many Algebra kids simply don't get that!!!)

    - solving 2 x 2 systems of equations

    - slope, equation of a line, graphing (slope-intercept form as well as using a table, since she'll be graphing parabolas.)

    - verbal problems (including quadratics) with area and perimeter

    - solving proportions

    - using formulas
