I drove all across town I went to 6 gas stations before I found one that has gas! I only got gas because my mom called me and told me to go fill my car up. Glad I did. Anyway the one I found said it would only let you get 40 dollars worth and it had to be cash only. I went to a CVS down the rode and bought a drink to get cash back. She told me I could only get 35 dollars worth. Thank goodness my car was half full it only took 29.10 to fill it full. The bad part was tho that used to be around the total for filling it from almost empty not half a tank. Also , due to their being hardly no gas left I has to get the most expensive place. I passed many with lower gas prices but the gas was gone. I ended up paying 3.99 per gallon. Any of you having trouble finding gas in your state/city?

I filled up on Thursday evening and there were some that did not have super gas. The lines were extremely long, so I went to a station on the outskirts and it wasn't that bad. Yesterday, we stopped at a station to get ice and a guy there said that he could not find gas anywhere. I paid $3.75 a gallon, half full was 35.00.

I paid 3.69 last last Tuesday and now it is up to $4.19 here in Michigan. The news said it was due to the hurricane.

Yesterday gas was $3.69, today $3.79. Though they looked like they still had gas.

When I left work I only got 15.00 dollars. I guess I should have gotten more. Ours was up 20 cents. I came across a few gas stations that had no regular gas all of the pumps for those was covered. The last hurricane there was two stores closed. But, we had people coming from the coast toward Jackson. The store shelves were awful no water and no bread. It's probably the same way now. All we had gotten is alot of rain and wind. Still getting some wind and rain. I do not think the ground can hold much more. Since the hurricanes have been coming toward the coast we have has rain just about every day. If not 3 times a week. It is awful. I feel for Texas now.

Gas went up about 15 cents a litre here and we are nowhere near hurricane country! Go figure!

Gas went up an average of 36 cents a gallon here, but I heard on the news that at least one gas station had bumped the price up to $5.19/gallon! I didn't have very much trouble getting gas except that I had to wait in a line for about 10 minutes and pay $3.75. My mom's best friend's brother (yeah I know, it's fourth hand info, but...) works for a local pipeline, and he said as of yesterday morning they were almost out of gas BECAUSE everybody was panicking and worried that stations were going to run out so they were stocking up.

There has been a State of Emergency declared in Kentucky due to the increase cost of gas...this will make it easier to file charges against those who make an unreasonable profit on gas because of the hurricane.

Our state passed a price gouging measure and they promise to take legal action. I went this morning and filled up with no problem -- $3.51 per gallon. After reading this thread, I feel lucky!

    I paid 3.99 for regular today...and 4.39 for bf's premium

that was the lowest I could find that wasn't sold out or had 20 cars in line...

most gas stations are sold out...and the ones that aren't want 4.30 for regular

Here in my little po-dunk Alabama world, these idiots have the cheap stuff 87 grade at dang 4.75. The cheapest I've seen it was 4.39. They take the numbers off the boards so you have to drive up to the pump to find out what it is and instead of playing the "who has the lowest price" search, you go on and pay the awful price.

Our gas was 3.75 this morning at the Wal-Mart gas station, by this evening it was up to 4.05. 2 stations in town were out, one grocery store gas station had ALL, reg. super and premium, for 3.99 a gallon. I filled up my car, and will do the others as well. As for me, I can walk to work, but my husband drive a ways to work...........

Our gas has gone from $3.36 a few days ago to $3.50 today. Not too major and no one is going crazy trying to get to gas stations, so none of the stations have run out.

Friday, gas jumped to $4.59 here. Almost all of the gas stations are now out.
The few that have any left were charging about $6 per gallon. However, I think they will stop that as 1 owner was arrested last night.

    Crazy!

(I am good until Thursday or Friday- on the way to school Friday, I noticed a gas station still had it for $3.54 while everyone else was $3.79, so I topped off :D)
